For Professionals
The Pediatric Resource Center educates professionals in the state of Illinois about identifying, treating and preventing child abuse.
Professional consultations regarding questions of child abuse are available. Services can be provided to physicians, attorneys, law enforcement and human services. We can provide case or record review, second-opinion services and expert testimony. Call 309-624-9595 for details.
PRC clinic hours are 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. If you are a medical professional, and you need to contact the PRC physician on call during non-clinic hours, please call 309-624-9595 and ask to have the PRC doctor paged.
Illinois Medical Network of Child Advocates
In collaboration with the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services, Division of Child Protection, we have built a network of physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and nurses who are dedicated to the mission of providing medical evaluations for children suspected of being abused or neglected. Services to this network of professionals include consultation, education, discussion and collaboration on the various topics and concerns surrounding child maltreatment. Our goals are to expand and improve medical evaluation and treatment services, and to increase prevention efforts. The group convenes 2 to 3 times per year through in-person and teleconference contacts.
If you are a healthcare professional and have an interest in joining the Illinois Medical Network, please contact the Pediatric Resource Center (877-262-6122) and leave your name, address and telephone number.
