Welcome to our Department of Emergency Medicine website.

“A hidden treasure.” That’s how people who are not familiar with our medical community and department frequently describe us once they discover us. Being half way between Chicago and St. Louis I understand the “hidden” part of that perception. I encourage you to explore our website and discover what I feel are the “treasures” of our department, specifically our educational mission to train students and residents to provide excellent emergency health care for our patients, our experienced and enthusiastic faculty, and our state-of-the-art clinical facilities and educational resources.
