Student Travel Funding

Every semester, a portion of each student’s activities fee is given to HPSC to use toward programs and grants that benefit health professions students. HPSC distributes these funds to each health professional student council and the remaining money is used for various student programming and grants. Money that remains unused is no longer accessible for student use. (Click Here to Read More)

The UI COM Scientific Conference Travel Support provides University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine medical students with financial support to present the results of research, scholarship, and discovery-related activities at national scientific conferences. Medical students are eligible for up to $1,500 of reimbursable expenses. Support is available once during the medical school period for those students who meet the requirements.

The Peoria Medical Student Council (PMSC) provides financial support to currently enrolled medical students to attend conferences that will benefit the student, as well as the university. The intent of the support is to help ease the burden of the cost associated with attending conferences. Currently enrolled students* will be eligible to receive funding from the PMSC ONCE per academic year. Up to $300 will be awarded to students who are presenting at a conference and up to $200 to students who are only attending a conference.
*Student must be currently registered for the term in which the travel is occurring.
