Poster Printing Heading link

Research Services and/or Community Relations work with local vendors to print research posters. Depending on type of materials selected, costs range from $50 – 100. For assistance with printing, email Laura Roehnelt at roehnelt@uic.edu.

Faculty: Your department or research program should fund the printing cost. Please provide the appropriate CFOPAL (account number) from the department to cover vendor printing costs.

*Residents & Fellows – Must first contact your Program Coordinator to obtain a Pre-Approval of Research-Related Travel; if approved by the GME office, a Media Service form will be approved and forwarded to allow for poster support services (includes printing).

Poster funding support for UICOMP students: UICOMP Research Day poster cost for students is covered by Academic Affairs. (One poster per student is covered per year). Students with more than one poster for UICOMP Research Day or who have other poster presentations, should ask their Research mentor if there is funding through their department to cover printing costs. Do this prior to submitting your poster for production and printing. If funding is available through the department of the research mentor, the mentor and/or representative from their department should provide the appropriate CFOPAL (account number) to cover poster costs when submitting the poster for printing.

Students who do not have funding from a UICOMP department to support research poster printing: Community Relations (Laura Roehnelt, roehnelt@uic.edu) can review the poster and provide a final print-ready digital file to the student who can then submit it to the printing company of their choice. The student will be responsible to the printing company for the cost of the poster/printing. (There is no cost to the student for the review/file preparation by Laura in Community Relations; however, poster printing cost is the financial responsibility of the student.)
