About
I grew up in Oakwood, a very small town about two hours west of Peoria. I stayed close to home for my undergraduate degree at Illinois Wesleyan University where I majored in Biology. I attended medical school at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, PA. I knew from a very young age that I wanted to be a doctor and it was during my third and fourth year clerkships where I found that family medicine was the right fit for me. I love being able to treat a variety of problems from any patient population.
I chose UICOMP because of how well rounded our training is. I have a specific interest in sports medicine, but I know I will be confident in all areas of family medicine because of the strength of our inpatient, outpatient and OB training. This program also is very supportive and the relationships between residents and faculty is outstanding.
