About
Medical School: University of Louisville
I grew up in Murray, Kentucky and went to Murray State University for undergrad. After graduation, I worked as an engineer for John Deere in Dubuque, IA for three years. During that time I realized engineering wasn’t the career path I wanted to pursue, so I decided to leave my job and move back to Kentucky for medical school.
When looking for residency programs, I wanted somewhere that had full spectrum training and that was close to family. UICOM-Peoria checked all the boxes. The faculty genuinely care about teaching residents. The residents I met before and during interview season were incredibly welcoming and got along very well with each other. Even though interviews were virtual, I could tell from their personalities that I would fit in well with the program.
When I’m not working, I’m spending time with my wife and son. We love exploring new parks and trails. I spend the rest of my free time watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball and trying to find the best Mexican and barbeque restaurants in town.
