Family Medicine Residency

About

I grew up in the village of Kingston, Illinois, where my local high school was across the street from barns and cornfields. I earned my undergraduate degree a couple hours away at Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois. After graduation, I stayed in the Quad City area to pursue medical scribe and management job opportunities, which afforded me diverse clinical experiences. I then had the privilege of attending medical school at University of Illinois College of Medicine in Rockford, Illinois, which is very close to my hometown. Now, I am in my number one choice residency program at UICOMP!

I am interested in many aspects of medicine including inpatient, outpatient, sports medicine, OB, hospice, and procedures. I have a strong desire to serve my community in the broadest way possible, for all age groups and all medical issues. I also really value building meaningful relationships with my patients and their loved ones. As a result, Family Medicine has always been the obvious choice for me. I am looking forward to accomplishing my career goals and becoming the physician I want to be with UICOMP.

When I’m not working, I love spending time with my significant other and our dog, Cooper. We like to travel for vacation time, especially in our toy hauler RV. Some of my hobbies include jogging, reading fiction books, watching (mostly children’s) movies, watercolor painting, bullet journaling, and trying to keep all of my houseplants alive.
