Carle Health Greater Peoria is another major teaching site for UICOMP, including physicians training for two residences, psychiatry and family medicine, and the family medicine obstetrics fellowship program.
Carle Health Methodist Hospital and Carle Health Proctor Hospital are two of eight in the vertically integrated Carle Health system, which also includes Trillium Place, the regional leader in comprehensive inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services.
Located in downtown Peoria adjacent to UICOMP, Methodist Hospital is a Level II Trauma Center with a Joint Commission disease-specific certification for stroke and sleep disorders, holds a Magnet® designation, and is the only area hospital certified as a Baby Friendly Hospital.
