More than a dozen rural communities participate. The local hospital and outpatient offices become the student’s learning field. We seek to grow into new sites as they become available. Some sites combine the use of two hospitals, with travel between nearby communities to obtain experience in all needed disciplines. Examples of this are Herrin/Carbondale and Marion/Carbondale.
