About

I was raised in Boise with my 2 brothers and many exchange (student) siblings and am a proud Idahoan. Throughout my youth and college I was a competitive cheerleader but I’ve hung up the pom poms and now enjoy spending my free time doing Krav Maga Martial Arts, woodworking, DIYing, and hiking. I have a very close knit family and love our family game nights, FaceTime calls and walks and cuddles with my sweet dog, Chester. I also have an adventurous side-I love traveling and meeting new people. I lived in Spain and Peru where I studied Spanish, learned about a different healthcare system and now enjoy having extended family and lifelong friends in both countries. As for my future career, I am interested in global health in addition to doing a mix of inpatient and outpatient MedPeds.

Why I Chose Peoria

After my interview day I knew Peoria would be the perfect place for me! The staff and residents were all so welcoming and happy, and I knew it had the supportive environment to help me thrive in residency. I was impressed by how well-integrated MedPeds is in the hospital and love that the program is strong in both Medicine and Pediatrics. I also love that Peoria is big enough to have everything I need but small enough to not feel like a big city-it reminds me of growing up in Boise!
