About

I was born and raised in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago. I earned my Bachelor’s degree at Loyola University in Chicago, Illinois. My passion for patient care began early in my education and was furthered when I worked as a scribe for ScribeAmerica as well as a research assistant for Ann and Robert H. Lurie’s hospital Orthopedics department.

That passion led me to a place far from home and I earned my Medical Degree from Xavier University School of Medicine. It presented me with the opportunity to work as a research postdoctoral fellow at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in the department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation assisting and conducting FDA-approved clinical trials. The continuity with each subject via screening and follow-up during clinical trials reinforced my appreciation for Family Medicine.

I chose family medicine because of its fundamental focus on full-spectrum care. It allows a relationship to foster between a patient and physician enabling preventative care to be a priority. I chose UICOMP because of the dedication to excellence displayed by the program. The high level of care, training, and desire to have a positive impact was evident in all conversations and interactions with faculty and staff. This program cares about the community and stands by the promise to maintain an excellent standard of healthcare.

During my free time, I like to spend time with my husband, family, especially my adorable nephew, and friends. I enjoy gardening, trying different cuisines, traveling, challenging hikes, and exercising with the occasional Netflix binge sprinkled in.
