Alumnus of 3 U of I campuses (Chicago, Urbana, Springfield), designed uniforms for the Chicago White Sox, previous director of one of the three accredited graduate schools of medical illustration (UIC, largest program in the world), illustrated NY Times bestseller (How to Get Pregnant), work presented at Nobel Awards (Nature as a Transplanter), worked on science fiction movie (Solaris, starred George Clooney, produced by Steven Soderbergh), Comeback of the Year (Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America), collaboration with Steve Jobs (Apple, iMed).

Other interests include family (including 8 grandchildren), animal welfare (dogs, animals in the wild), architecture, history of art in medicine, child welfare, trains, airplanes, and world history (especially Civil War & Abraham Lincoln, history of England).
