About
I am the PHM Fellowship director, and involved educating fellows, residents and medical students. Clinically, I am a Pediatric Hospitalist and Sedation physician on our inpatient service. In addition, I work on our PACT team providing transitions in care to special children and adults from the pediatric to adult care, and am fortunate to work with and for families of patients with medical complexity. I am passionate about Medical education and mentorship of learners and particularly of women in medicine. I am involved locally and nationally advocating for women in medicine. Outside of work I like to bake and cook, with my children frequently volunteering to be taste testers. I run and hike because I like to bake and love to travel — anywhere and everywhere with my daughters.
Why I Love UICOMP/Peoria
Peoria is incredibly special: You are able to work in a world-class institution that provides services like a large big city hospital with a huge variety of pathology and disease, in an environment that is friendly, approachable and supportive. Colleagues and co-workers are friends and family, and the environment and leadership is supportive in nurturing each individual's academic and professional passions. It is a fantastic place to raise a family and create an incredible career, and it's fun to come to work.
