About

Dr. Taylor Gohman is originally from Russellville, AR. He attended the University of Arkansas where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and Biochemistry. After his undergraduate studies, he moved to the Midwest where he received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences and MBA in Healthcare Leadership from Rockhurst University. He went on to complete his Pediatric Residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences/Arkansas Children’s Hospital.

Taylor is excited to continue his educational studies in Peoria, IL by pursuing a Fellowship in Neonatology.

“This brand new Neonatology Fellowship Program is the complete package. Having received the state’s highest level NICU recognition, the Children’s Hospital of Illinois sees literally everything. In just my first clinical month alone, I’ve already started to help run rounds, put in UACs/UVCs, attempted intubation, put in a couple of chest tubes, tapped ventricular reservoirs, helped teach residents, participated in transport calls, managed the head of bed/airway in deliveries and attended consults amongst other things. You’ll see patients with cardiac lesions, hydrops, HIE, genetic abnormalities, NEC, double volume exchange transfusions and ex-22 week old babies to name a few things I’ve already seen and have helped provide care in. Our Program Director and Assistant Program Director, along with all of the other Neonatologists, are very invested in our well-being and educational success from day one. After hearing all of this, I hope you’re as excited as I am because I can’t wait for you to join our family!”

In his free time, Taylor enjoys trying out the local cuisine, watching movies, keeping up to date with everything Disney, watching anime and playing video/board games.
