I chose Peoria to be close to family members in the area, as well as it is a small quiet, town without much traffic & most places are within a close distance. Peoria has acceptable accommodation prices for Residents, and for more fun activity options, it is still close to big cities around like Chicago, and St Louis! Peoria has a lot of hiking trails if you are a hiker, and nice artistic places/cafes to embrace your talents.
