The HR Team would like to nominate the Pediatric Resource Center (PRC) for the UICOMP Outstanding Team Award for May 2023.
As April was Child Abuse Awareness Month, our attention immediately went to PRC. We are grateful to PRC for providing specialized, child centered medical and social services to suspected victims of abuse or neglect, working with law enforcement and various agencies to ensure the safety of children in 50 communities and providing professional training and education all while representing UICOMP in an extremely positive manner. All of this would not be possible without dedicated providers and amazing staff who ensure efficient clinic operations in a child-friendly setting. It has been said it takes a village to raise a child, and in Peoria PRC is part of the village council!
The staff at PRC work tirelessly year-round to advocate for children and their families, ensure resources are available and to bring awareness to child abuse prevention. One way PRC raises awareness and funds is by sponsoring fun events such as the Kick Abuse 5K Trail Run and Fun Walk, PRC Night at the Peoria Chiefs, Harvesting Hope and Go Casual for Kids. Staff also work tirelessly to ensure much needed grants are secured in support of their efforts.
Thank you to PRC for going above and beyond to make a positive impact in the lives of children and families. Your daily dedication to improve the lives of these children is inspiring to all!
