Local Child Abuse Program Receives Help from Regional Garbage/Recycling Company

GFL Environmental presented a $5,000 grant to the Pediatric Resource Center (PRC) at the University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria today. This contribution reflects GFL’s commitment to supporting essential community services and fostering the well-being of children impacted by child abuse and neglect.

The $5,000 donation from GFL will directly support the PRC’s efforts to provide critical medical services and advocacy for children and families affected by child abuse and neglect.

Established in 1993, the Pediatric Resource Center serves as a vital community service program within the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria. It specializes in providing comprehensive, child-centered, specialized medical care and essential social services to children who have experienced abuse or neglect. The PRC’s dedication to offering compassionate care and support to vulnerable children aligns closely with GFL’s values of community involvement and social responsibility. The Pediatric Resource Center evaluates more than 500 central Illinois children each year.
