Investiture Ceremony Honors Professorships in Peoria

On June 28, UICOMP hosted an investiture ceremony to bestow professorships to four deserving UICOMP faculty. The gift of professorships is a special gift made by donors to elevate opportunities in academic medicine. Professorships provide financial support to faculty for advancing their work in teaching and mentoring, scholarship and/or research and discovery. Professorships are endowments that also honor the legacy and/or career of their namesake.

Kay L. Saving, MD
OSF HealthCare Children’s Hospital of Illinois Professorship in Pediatrics

Krishna Kumar Veeravalli, MPharm, PhD
John P. Henderson MD Family Professorship in Neuroscience Research

Amy Christison, MD
Eliza J. and Pedro A. de Alarcon Professorship in Pediatrics
