This department’s main research focus is educational scholarship and simulation. As the health care delivery system is changing, technology plays and increasing role in medical education. Simulation is used to make students into effective communicators as well as efficient members of an interdisciplinary team. This provides many opportunities for educational scholarship — particularly how our educational programs impact the actual delivery of patient care.
Department faculty have been awarded several Deans Innovation awards and have projects ongoing with JUMP colleagues to develop medical curriculum.
