About

I am from Houston, TX. I enjoy running, working out, hiking, anything outdoors, trying new restaurants, reading, and watching movies. I hope to practice as a Med-Peds Hospitalist. I also love serving underserved populations locally and abroad through community medicine and global health. However, the future is bright so I am still keeping my options open.

Why I Chose Peoria

I loved the welcoming and transparent energy I felt from the residents and faculty during my interview. I could see the sense of comradery even through the virtual platform. I also couples matched. Everyone accepted my significant other and me with open arms and were very supportive. The best part of Peoria is the people. Being from the South, I thought I would miss the Southern hospitality. However, the hospital staff and patients help create an embracive learning environment. The community members have been great at sharing the Midwest spirit. I also love the yummy food, the big city feel (with close proximity to Chicago and St. Louis), and that there is no traffic!
