Isaac C Tan, MD

Internal Medicine Residency
About
Dr. Tan grew up in a health care family. His father was a rheumatologist, his mother a pulmonary and sleep physician. He and his siblings were responsible for helping to care for their aging grandfather as he progressed through chronic illness. Those experiences would shape his future.
His journey to becoming a primary care internist was inspired by the faculty at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine and by the attending physicians at OSF Medical Group – Glen Park Internal Medicine, where he did a residency rotation. Returning there now, he looks forward to similarly influencing medical students on rotation at the clinic.
Married with two young sons, Dr. Tan formerly played tennis and ice hockey. He enjoys staying physically active, running through Bradley Park, rock climbing at the gym and swimming. He also likes to grill outdoors.
