About

Why I Chose Peoria:
I came to Peoria for the first time for my residency interview in December 2012, and as I crossed the bridge and saw OSF, I was already so impressed! I loved the city at first sight and as I stayed here during residency and after, I got more and more used to the convenience of being in a mid-size city. The commute time from one end to the other is very manageable, and in the past 10 years here, I have witnessed a traffic jam only once (when it snowed in October). Housing is affordable and it is a great city to raise a family with good schools in the area.
