About

About Me

My passion is education. During my neonatology fellowship I had the opportunity to get a master’s in health Professions Education. With this foundation, I have focused my research efforts on using technology to improve the educational methodologies for medical trainees (flipped classroom, VR, etc). In my clinical time, I enjoy taking care of babies and helping their families through what can be a difficult NICU journey. Outside of work, I am a mom to a little girl and soon to be twin boys that brings so much joy to my life.

Why I Chose Peoria

My family is from the Midwest, while my husband’s family lives out of the country. When it came time to find a job and a place to settle, we wanted to be close to family and in an academic center that had room for my career to grow. The medical community here is so welcoming, and the Jump simulation center provided a unique opportunity for my research. Peoria was the perfect fit! We couldn’t be happier with the choice we made.
