About

Dr. Nirzar Parikh is originally from Mumbai, India and that is also where he earned his medical degree from K.J. Somaiya Medical College. Nirzar’s interest in the field of Neonatology began during his research stint in the IVH lab at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, NY. In his free time, Nirzar enjoys traveling, hiking, playing cricket, watching movies, and exploring new restaurants.

“I wanted practice the highest quality of neonatal medicine in a friendly environment and be exposed to a wide range of pathologies. Peoria has wonderful mentorship where the fellows are well supported. The NICU here is really open to new innovations/technologies and is always pushing the bar in the field to give the best care to the newborns.”
