Collins Odhiambo is currently working as a Research Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois, College of Medicine-Peoria. Collins previously worked as an Assistant Professor at the University of California, Los Angeles -UCLA where he lectured both undergraduate and graduate courses. He performed his postdoctoral fellowship at Johns Hopkins University and Medicine at the Center for AIDS Research (JHU CFAR), biostatistics in HIV prevention and treatment models in global health. He also has a Ph.D. in Applied Statistics from Strathmore University, a Master of Science degree in Biometry from the University of Nairobi, and a First-Class Honors Bachelor of Science in Applied Statistics from Maseno University, Kenya.
Collins has more than 10 years of experience in lecturing in both undergraduate and postgraduate courses. He also has more than 14 years of experience in Research and HIV programs as a Monitoring Evaluation and Learning Specialist.
Collins's major areas of interest include machine learning, probability theory, inferential statistics, linear models, stochastic processes, longitudinal data analysis, survival analysis, design of clinical trials, epidemiological methods, statistical modeling, monitoring and evaluation of health programs, research, qualitative Methods, training and data analysis mentorship.
