Dr. Kennell received her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria in May 2010. She did her Preliminary Internal Medicine Internship at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria from July 1, 2010 to June 30, 2011. She then completed a residency in Diagnostic Radiology in 2015 at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria. She completed a one year Breast Imaging Fellowship from July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2016 at the Susan G. Komen Breast Center in Peoria, Illinois. Dr. Kennell is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Radiology at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria.

In 2011, she was named Preliminary Internal Medicine Intern of the Year. Dr. Kennell was Chief Resident in Diagnostic Radiology in 2013 and 2014 - 2015. In 2015, she received a Summa Cum Laude Award for the American Roentgen Ray Society 2015 Scientific Program for an electronic poster entitled “Cervical Artery Dissection as a Consequence of Chiropractic Manipulation of the Neck.”

Dr. Kennell is certified by the American Board of Radiology. She holds memberships in the Radiological Society of North America, American College of Radiology, American Roentgen Ray Society, Illinois State Medical Society, and Peoria Medical Society.
