Khalid Al Katranji, MD
Fellow (Class of 2024)
Neonatal-Perinatal Fellowship
About
Dr. Khalid Al Katranji is originally from Syria, and he earned his medical degree from Alexandria Faculty of Medicine in Egypt. He then worked as a research assistant at Northwestern University before starting his pediatric residency training at Marshall University in Huntington, WV. Khalid always had a passion towards Neonatology; and after finishing his residency, he worked as a pediatric hospitalist in Iowa before going to fellowship.
Khalid chose Peoria because the program offers variable volume, high acuity, the mixed training of faculty, and several different approaches to learning. He has found the program to be highly adaptable to the individual’s needs and interests.
Outside of work, Khalid enjoys spending time with his wife (Farah) and two kids (Yousuf and Yazan), hiking, watching movies, and checking out new restaurants.
