Academic Interests
I enjoy teaching residents and students Emergency Medicine, Emergency Medicine Ultrasound, and Internal Medicine concepts. Additionally, since 2011 I’ve enjoyed reviewing the research on how the Standard American Diet contributes to the development of chronic illness. My focused interest is on how a whole-foods, plant-based diet contributes to reversing these very common and life –threatening conditions: Obesity, Heart disease, Stroke, chronic renal disease, Hypertension, Type 2 Diabetes and Cancer.
Other Interests/Fun Facts
I enjoy sharing time with my family and watching our children grow. We enjoy many outdoor activities including, boating, fishing, golfing, skiing, traveling and watching sporting events. Professionally, I enjoying teaching residents and students Emergency Medicine and Internal Medicine concepts, and caring for patients.
