Dr. Guingrich received her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine, Peoria, Illinois in 1994. She completed a residency in Diagnostic Radiology in 1999 at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics, Madison, Wisconsin. Dr. Guingrich also completed a Breast Imaging Fellowship at the Susan G. Komen Breast Center in Peoria, Illinois in 2000. She is a Clinical Associate Professor of Radiology at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria and is currently both the Medical Director of Breast Imaging as well as the Program Director of the Breast Imaging Fellowship Program at the SGKBC. The Radiology Residents class of 2014 awarded her the “Faculty of the Year Teaching Award”. She was also awarded the “Paul Dirkse Award for Excellence in Radiology” by the Radiology Residents class of 2008, which is given annually to the faculty member who by her professional endeavors as well as her ability to strive for and expect excellence serves as an outstanding role model. In 2007, Dr. Guingrich was chosen through nominations submitted by the community as one of the “40 Leaders Under 40” in central Illinois. The award is given to those who most aptly demonstrate successful leadership qualities, accomplishments, and best define the spirit of youthful initiatives in the greater Peoria area. She was actively involved in research trials for the Somo.V Automated Breast Ultrasound System, manufactured by U-systems in San Jose, CA.
Dr. Guingrich is certified by the American Board of Radiology. Her memberships include the American College of Radiology, Radiological Society of North America, American Roentgen Ray Society, Society of Breast Imaging, American Medical Association, Illinois State Medical Society, and Peoria Medical Society.
