About

Dr. Irshad completed her Internal Medicine Residency at Mount Sinai Program in New York before embarking on a journey toward sub specialization. She obtained a Fellowship in Hospice and Palliative Medicine from Ohio State University. During her initial years, she worked at the Illinois Neurologic Institute, Peoria, focusing on patients with neurologic illnesses and complex spine disorders. To enhance her expertise in comprehensive pain management, she pursued an additional fellowship in Spine Medicine at Henry Ford Hospital in Michigan, gaining invaluable experience in multimodal pain treatment.

Her work and trainee experiences in multiple diverse institutions catalyzed her to create a well-rounded fellowship in hospice and palliative medicine. By tailoring the program to meet trainees' aspirations and ensuring an up-to-date, evidence-based curriculum, she cultivates a supportive environment that enhances the well-being of fellows while empowering them to excel in this specialized field.

Dr. Tayyaba Irshad exemplifies a perfect blend of medical expertise, empathy, and a zest for life. Her unwavering commitment to palliative care and compassionate approach make her an exceptional physician, mentor and advocate for patients and trainees.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Irshad finds joy in hiking, traveling, and immersing herself in the beauty of nature. She also treasures quality time spent with her adult children.
