I chose Peoria because it had a good-sized program where I could build strong relationships with my co-residents and attendings as well as get the clinical training with the diverse population I desire to take care of. I have a lot of "cozy hobbies" like reading, writing, board games, movie nights, and artistic things that I am horrible at but still do. I want to be a fairy princess peds hospitalist for now, but that could change by the end of my residency.
