About
I am a first-generation college graduate, born to parents who immigrated from Mexico. When I’m not at the hospital or clinic, you can find me either watching soccer (Premier League, Champions League, or the Mexican soccer league), playing soccer, or officiating around the Peoria area. As of now, I am interested in becoming a combined Med-Peds hospitalist, with some outpatient and teaching intertwined throughout. I am passionate about serving the underserved, particularly those who face or have faced language barriers to receive healthcare.
Why I Chose Peoria
I chose Peoria because I rotated here during my fourth year of medical school, and I loved how friendly everyone was. From the attendings to the residents on both the Peds and IM side. I knew coming here would provide not only a supportive learning environment, but also that a large medical center would provide me with a wide-array of pathologies.
