About
I was born and raised in rural Oklahoma. I attended Oklahoma Wesleyan University where I participated in collegiate athletics and managed to obtain a BS in Biology. I went on to attended Oklahoma State University COM in Tulsa, OK.
My hobbies include more things than I can list but here are a few: running, cycling, hiking, 3D printing, serving in my church, and technology. I chose med-peds due to the many opportunities afforded by such a specialty and my affinity for most things medicine. And of course, I couldn’t make up my mind. Isn’t that the case for most med/peds?? I just enjoyed it all.
Why I Chose Peoria
I chose Peoria for many different reasons. It has a large hospital and catchment area, a great children’s hospital that addresses advanced care needs, and the Jump Simulation Center opportunities for medical innovation and skill refinement.
