About

I grew up in west-central Illinois. I like to collect coins, I am interested in cars, and I enjoy target shooting. I am currently working on a type set of United States coins, from 1800-present. I currently have 69 out of the 76 needed to fill the set.

Why I Chose Peoria

In my formative years, specifically during my undergraduate education at Knox College, I attended the JUMP/UICOMP pre-medicine immersion program. This exposed me to the benefits of enrolling in UICOMP for my MD degree. The learning in the medical school placed me in contact with the university affiliated hospital, its state-of-the-art clinical facilities such as the JUMP simulation center, and the mentorship provided by UICOMP faculty. In addition, UICOMP serves as a referral center for patients across rural Illinois, where I intend to practice after finishing residency. All of these factors attracted me to remain part of the UICOMP community as a resident physician.
