The University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria held its Convocation Ceremony on Saturday, May 4, at the Peoria Civic Center and awarded Doctor of Medicine degrees to 58 graduates.
Grand Marshal was Jessica Hanks, MD, UICOMP associate dean for academic affairs. Executive Dean Mark Rosenblatt, MD, and Regional Dean Meenakshy Aiyer, MD, addressed the graduates.
Michael Gernant, MD (UICOMP Class of 1982) gave the Alumni Welcome. Members of the Class of 2024 selected Kelvin Wynn, MD, Thomas and Ellen Foster Endowed Chair of the Department of Family and Community Medicine, to give the Convocation Address, and Charissa Carroll, MD, member of the graduating class, to present the Class of 2024 remarks.
These graduates bring the total number of UICOMP medical school graduates to 2,366.
