UICOMP Celebrates 66 New MDs at In-Person Graduation Ceremony
On May 7, UICOMP welcomed 66 new doctors to the UICOMP alumni family during the Convocation ceremony at the Peoria Civic Center. After a two-year pause to the traditional in-person Convocation ceremony, the event allowed the class to celebrate their four-year journey through unprecedented times.
The graduates marched in together, received their hoods and diplomas, and heard the addresses from Executive Dean Mark Rosenblatt, MD; Regional Dean Meenakshy Aiyer, MD; Associate Dean for Academic Affairs Jessica Hanks, MD; faculty speaker Jonathon Fisher, PhD; and the class remarks by Douglas Grow, MD.
UICOMP faculty joined in the procession to support the graduates, and guests of the class attended to support their new MDs.
