Nathan Jones, MD, who completed his Emergency Medicine residency at UICOMP/OSF Saint Francis in 2012, has been selected to participate in a NASA year-long mission. The study is the Crew Health and Performance Exploration Analog (CHAPEA), and it will simulate what crew members may experience in a mission to Mars.
Jones learned of the program through an advertisement and applied. He currently works as a physician at Springfield Memorial Hospital (Illinois).
