Outstanding Team Award: March 2024 Winner (Surgery)

Congratulations to the Department of Surgery, recipient of the March 2024 UICOMP Team Award. They were selected by the Emergency Department because of the hand-in-hand work they do together.
“Surgery is good with consults, responsive and promptly sees patients. They are easy to work with and quick to respond. Surgery has also been very collaborative and supportive of departments in times of transition. For example, they took Emergency Medicine under their wing until EM became an independent department. Similarly, they helped neurosciences during a transition of new employees and have taken anesthesia under their wing as well.”
