KB Strong Foundation Gives $70,500 to Support Brain Cancer Research at UICOMP
The KB Strong Foundation donated $70,500 to support brain cancer research at the University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria. KB Strong was founded to honor the life of Kevin Brown, beloved Washington High School basketball coach, who lost his battle with glioblastoma. The check was presented during the annual Tournament of Champions Basketball Tournament held in Washington Thanksgiving weekend 2021. The Tournament of Champions is one of the group’s largest fundraisers along with their annual Brownfest each fall.
