AI Rural Health Workshop

Join us for a novel workshop on the potential of Artificial Intelligence in transforming rural healthcare. This event is a collaborative effort involving:

  • University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC)
  • University of Illinois Chicago (UIC)
  • University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria (UICOMP)
  • OSF Healthcare
  • Illinois Department of Public Health
  • Community organizations
  • Key community stakeholders

Faculty with an interest or expertise in health equity or health disparity as it relates to underserved rural areas are encouraged to attend.

Join our discussion as we work to:

  • Identify challenges affecting rural health
  • Develop research questions to advance the state of rural health
  • Create infrastructure for healthcare research in rural populations
  • Build teams to pursue funding opportunities

Workshop Goals:

  1. Gain a deeper understanding of the needs and challenges of rural healthcare from the perspectives of healthcare organizations and the community.
  2. To provide a platform for collaboration, innovation, and actionable strategies to improve rural health outcomes through AI-driven solutions.
