Medical students were given their white coats earlier this month to symbolize they are assuming the responsibilities of the medical profession. Parents, families and friends attended to celebrate this milestone event as UICOMP welcomed students to the city, the Peoria campus, and the profession.
UICOMP held two white coat ceremonies held this year for incoming students – a unique and historic year with the addition of both second-year students and for the first time in its 47-year history, the addition of first-year students.
