Phoebe has been in healthcare for over twenty years beginning as a nursing assistant and then earned both her Certificate in Practical Nursing and Associates in Nursing at Illinois Central College. As a practicing nurse she worked in a variety of patient care settings including pediatric cardiology, home health, travel nursing and inpatient cardiology. In 2015 she earned a Bachelor’s in Science of Nursing at Methodist College and eventually a Master’s in Nursing Education at Olivet Nazarene University. She taught baccalaureate nursing for nearly five years and then moved on to serve as the Director of Prevention Services at Central Illinois Friends. At UIC, Phoebe is the Clinical Coordinator for Research Services.
