Nicole Wellman was born and raised in San Antonio, TX. She graduated from University of the Incarnate Word School of Osteopathic Medicine and completed Family Medicine Residency at Christus Health in San Antonio. She moved to Peoria, IL where she completed her Surgical Family Medicine Obstetrics Fellowship at UICOMP.
After training, she worked for Heartland Health in Pekin and then started as full time faculty for the resident program in 2025. Dr. Wellman has a special interest in women's health, pregnancy related care, and gender affirming care.
In her spare time, Dr. Wellman enjoys spending time with her partner and 3 dogs. She also likes reading, cooking and playing trivia.
