About
I'm an Okie transplant to the Midwest! Outside of medicine, I'm an avid board game player, a dabbling baker, and an occasional chef. I like hiking and camping when I can get away, and I'm frequently on the hunt for a new/excellent sci-fi or fantasy series. I'm most interested in combined-hospital medicine, but in true med-peds fashion, I tend to love most of my rotations.
Why I Chose Peoria
UICOMP really checked all the boxes for what I wanted out of a residency program and more. I wanted to work at a busy academic center, have exposure to a wide variety of patients, and be part of a well integrated med-peds program. Because OSF is one of the main hospitals of the region, we have the opportunity to serve rural, urban, and suburban communities. We also have the opportunity to work closely with medical students, which was important to me for training. All of this and more has made training at OSF and UICOMP an excellent experience in training and working.
