About
I grew up in Minden, Iowa. I love the Midwest but enjoy traveling whenever I have the chance. I played Division I softball and enjoy weightlifting and running in my free time. I also love spending time with my husband, family, and friends. I'm also a dog owner to an Aussiedoodle named Sadie!
Why I Chose Peoria
When searching for a residency program, I wanted to stay in the Midwest and attend a program that provided early operative experience. Peoria was the perfect fit for me. The hospital is a large, tertiary care medical center with a wide referral region that treats a very wide range of patients. The faculty are engaged in resident education and are excellent teachers. The residents are also very close-knit and enjoy being around one another.
How has your residency/fellowship program helped you grow toward your career goals?
Our residency program and faculty are extremely supportive mentors who help guide us towards our goals in the operating room, research, and career. I've felt supported in anything I wanted to pursue.
