About

I am a combined pediatric and internal medicine hospitalist; I split my time multiple ways at Saint Francis Medical Center as a academic pediatric hospitalist, academic adult hospitalist, adult proceduralist service, and the pediatric to adult care team (a transitional service for complex children transitioning to adult specialists as well as a consult service for special needs patients in the adult hospital). I also precept in the university outpatient clinic and work for the private adult hospitalist service as needed. As a parent to a child with autism, I am passionate about advocating for those who cannot advocate for themselves and ensuring that the quality of their care remains consistent across all fields of medicine. In my spare time I enjoy fishing, camping, and am the crowned Halo/Mario Kart champion of Saint Francis Medical Center.

Why I Love UICOMP/Peoria

It is very difficult to find combined hospitalist positions with the breadth of practice and flexibility that is offered here. The main draw to Peoria and Children's Hospital of Illinois, of course, is the people. All of the hospitalists and leadership are great to work with and knowledgeable physicians. It is always a blessing to be able to look forward to coming to work.
