Jump Simulation
At the Forefront of Medical Training
Jump Simulation is located on the OSF St. Francis Medical Center campus and is a collaboration between OSF HealthCare and University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria (UICOMP). Its vision is to improve outcomes and lower health care costs through innovative simulation training of medical professionals.
Jump features working replicas of inpatient wards, ICU, and operating rooms as well as hi-fidelity mannequins, an ambulance bay, and house to provide not only residents but also local health care professionals with much needed opportunities for training in a simulation environment. In addition, it houses conference room facilities, serving as the site for both Pediatric and Medicine Grand Rounds, life support training, and health care symposia events. Jump Sim also strives to be on the forefront of innovation, featuring a 3-D heart library and an Innovation Lab, which partners the College of Engineering at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with the medical resources of Peoria.
Residents have the opportunity to participate in ACLS/BLS/NRP training, pediatric simulations, and medicine code-blue simulations during their training at OSF.
