SUMMARY:Medical Conversations at the Museum
DESCRIPTION:UICOMP faculty Larry Lindahl, MD; Sayeeda Yasmin, MD; and Douglas Kasper, MD will lead this community presentation to explore the critical importance of geriatric care. As our population ages, understanding the unique medical, emotional, and social needs of older adults is more important than ever. This talk will highlight key aspects of healthy aging, address common health challenges faced by older patients, and discuss how tailored, age-sensitive care can improve quality of life. Discussion will cover the growing complexity of vaccines for older adults touching on what illnesses they prevent and what is truly recommended. Attendees will receive complimentary access to the "Friends of Folk: Freedom and Expression" exhibit as part of this collaboration between UICOMP and the Peoria Riverfront Museum. | Event post: https://peoria.medicine.uic.edu/events?page_id=18198
