Anxiety in Kids and How to Help event at 6 p.m. April 17 at Peoria Riverfront Museum

University of Illinois College of Medicine faculty will share insights on the prevalence of anxiety in today’s youth during a panel discussion on Thursday, April 17, at 6 pm, at the Peoria Riverfront Museum. Part of the “Medical Conversations” series, the presentation is entitled “Anxiety in Kids and How to Help” and is a collaboration between the University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria (UICOMP) and the Peoria Riverfront Museum.

The free presentation will feature three UCOMP faculty members: Ryan Finkenbine, MD; Aasna Gaur, DO; and Sara Kelly, PhD, MPH. They will discuss the current surges in anxiety, factors influencing this trend, and how those who care about children can help. The evening will include a discussion of helpful strategies as well as local resources available to provide help and expertise.

Refreshments will be served, and attendees are invited to attend the Peoria Riverfront Museum’s “Solitude: The Necessity of Art” exhibit following the program. Complete details are available on this flyer.
