Application Approval Process

All CME proposals submitted must go through the following process prior to final approval:

1. The UICOMP CME Coordinator must review the proposal for general completeness and accuracy.
2. The UICOMP Advisory Committee on CME must then review the proposal for appropriate content and completeness.
3. If the UICOMP Advisory Committee on CME finds revisions needed, communication will be made back to the submitting parties accordingly prior to additional review.
4. Once the UICOMP Advisory Committee on CME approves the proposal, it then undergoes review at the Executive (Chicago and all U of I sites) CME Committee level.

The Executive Committee meets on the 1st Thursday of each month.

It is recommended that any CME proposal (New Activity or Renewal) be submitted at least 3 months prior to the scheduled CME event.

Proposals submitted to the UICOMP CME committee must be received no later than 2 full weeks prior to that month’s scheduled UICOMP Advisory Committee on CME meeting.
